It’s that time of the fortnight again (ahem) where we all cross our fingers and hope that when it all comes back up we’ll have a working version of Second Life. Had to introduce a newbie today to the delights of the upgrading process. He asked, rather naively, if it would be faster after the update, and would all the textures load. Bless him. Although lets curse Linden in the same breath as he had some free time this afternoon he was going to spend with me. If they keep pulling the grid down on my customers how can I afford a new pair of buckled ankle boots straight out of 1985?
[Update] Came back up on schedule. Well, within twenty minutes of target, so that’s the margin of error in San Francisco. The newbie wasn’t around though.
